Suburb: Newport, Melbourne | Services: Exterior Repaint
We painted this lovely heritage home in Newport during 2023 – please see the before and after shots below.
It was in very poor condition. Some weatherboards were peeling and a couple of areas required stripping and oil undercoating prior to painting.
We painted the original single-storey house, the modern 2nd-storey extension was excluded. The fence was new and we sprayed that.
Due to the age of the house we assumed lead paint was present and we would need to follow our lead paint procedures when preparing. We specified to strip paint on some weatherboards and oil undercoat those surfaces to provide a stable surface prior to painting.
We stripped weatherboards using our stripping machine into our Festool dust extractor. We then electric sanded all timber using our Festool sanders and dust extractors.
We painted the walls in Drifting Ash and the trim in Hazy Dawn, both Haymes colours.
The preparation and painting as well as the new updated colour scheme has brought this home back to life. Our client is so happy with the preparation in particular and the final result. He commended our painters on their hard work and attention to detail.
We were awarded Winner for Domestic Repaint under $30,000 in 2023 by Master Painters Association – see the award logo below.
